inspiration

My inspirations for this project are KSI, myself, Behzinga and Michael B Jordan. They all had massive transformations through fitness and inspired me to change. Everyone single one of them showed how fitness can really make you feel better and look better. Myself because I was able to change myself and encourage others to make a change and it showed me how much the impact of fitness can really change a person. KSI inspired me because he was going into his first fight overweight and unfit and 6 months later, he transformed his whole body and he was at his peak, this then encouraged Behzinga to transform and he dropped a significant amount of weight and he had the same results and KSI and they were both at their peak. Michael B Jordan was a slightly skinny figure and when he got the role of creed, he bulked up and got very muscular. All these people really made me want to push myself even harder because I was doing okay but then they made me realize I can do so much better and push myself to my peak.

The reason I want to do a documentary is because of a Netflix documentary called The Game Changers. They demonstrated how well a documentary can really influence a person and put the documentary very well together by this they showed how effective it can really be and sway a person to change their mindset or opinions.

Subject Matter

The documentary (The Change) will explore all the benefits of fitness and try to encourage people to start working out. There will be a series of interviews where each person explains there start and how they have progressed and telling us their experience. There will be information on nutrition and general workouts. How a person should approach gym in early stages and further on as well.


Jobs and Responsibilities

I will be taking on all jobs of the documentary. This includes camera work, sound and lighting. This will be slightly challenging but should be manageable, I will be responsible for all the outcomes and equipment.

Technical & Instructional Guidance

All technical tasks I will be doing and if I need help, I will do research and ask for help from teachers. I will be using dlsr cameras, Tascam’s, lighting & premiere pro. The research could be different types of shots and transitions.


Marketing & Presentation

We will be doing a pitch to Nigel and this is where we explain our inessential concept to him and give our inspirations for our fmp, we give brief context into the idea so he can understand better. We have given him our planned timetable, so he knows we are going to stay on track. The overall project will be a video and will explain most of the pitch but in more detail.


Here we compared a range of different videos from students and see what they did well and what they could improve on.


survey responses

The first question is how much do you work out a week?

from these results i can see most people workout, showing that this documentary could help them progress further and only one person said they do not workout at all and if they watch my documentary, they might be motivated by all the benefits. Most people are either consistent when working out or they do not care as much and can not be bothered to work out. I can see this because people voted they do it once a week or three plus.


This shows me that they either do HIIT (high intensity interval training) this means they are trying very hard to improve them self. No a person work for 15 to 20 mins according to this research showing they either like a short very powerful workout or they want a long workout that targets more of their body.




Every person who took the survey cares about their nutrition. The results show that they care but they are not consistent with what they eat and can not continue it. No one in the survey said they do not care about their nutrition this means I can deduce everyone cares and they wont stop caring. very few people care about their nutrition very much, this shows these people have a strong mindset and are determined to stay this way.


Not a single person who took the survey enjoys cardio, this is normal as cardio is very boring to most people and they just do not enjoy them self when doing it. Next is weights. people enjoy weights most likely because it is not as boring as cardio, during weights you can take breaks but during cardio most people seem to find that time drags but when they do weights it does not feel like that. Finally from these results most people enjoy a mix of both cardio and weights. This is good because doing just one will not benefit you as doing both will help you further.

Most people workout from their house, this shows that they might not like going to a gym because it is to crowded or they feel intimidated. A few people go to the gym this could be because they feel more motivated to workout there and not at home because of other distractions. They may not also have the equipment or right environment to workout in. Not a single person workout at a friends house this maybe because they can not arrange a good time to workout or none of their friends have a gym equipment at their house,



Everybody finds working out with their friends much more enjoyable, this is a true fact because their friends help them have fun while working out and push them to do the best they can by saying they can do it or challenge them.
